About Me

My name is Aristote K. Kipayko. I am an international student at Chatham University majoring in Economics. I opted for Economics to enlighten my knowledge on investments and international Businesses. It is also an opportunity for me to understand the different concepts of Economic as a whole or of a particular country. Generally, Africa is categorized to be a sector under development and it is definitely the best strategic place for me to focus and that is also because I understand/know African culture.

Guest Speaker Reflection.

For this fall semester, we have managed to be lectured by several different guess speakers in our Business class. For example, professor Sandra Taylor who shared her knowledge about the international business environment; Professor Jim Pierson who explain to us the real importance and necessity of Accounting in the business world and many more. The most captivating guess speaker to me was Professor Kip Soteres ( click here for the LinkedIn page. ) who managed to elaborate, to us students, the immense essentialism of communication in the business environment or simply in our daily life. Professor Soteres is the CEO of Soteres Consulting; an organization that plans and implement communication for corporates, HR, employees, and internal communication. He is also the Adjunct professor of corporate communication at Chatham University and teaches graduates courses in communication. Professional Networking

Throughout the semester, I manage to participate in three school-related events. The one was the “Master of Communication & Master of Professional Writing”, prospective students webinar on October 18 th , 2018, another was “The faculty technology workshop: Explore Open Educational resources”, on November 13 th , 2018 and “The Accounting & Information Systems Networking Mixer”, on September 25 th , 2018. Among the three events mentioned above, the one that most fascinated me and easy to talk and to explain, by relating it to the Business 105 class and activities is the Accounting & Information System Networking Mixer (- Click here for even info .) The reason beyond why I chose that event is because I personally intend to take Management and Information System as a minor in the upcoming semester.
